Sports Supplements for Cyclists – video
Many people avoid supplements for one reason or another, and while there are many reasons to proceed with caution in this area, it doesn’t mean that they all are useless or harmful. Smart use of safe and legal sports supplements can lead to significant performance improvements. Learn which supplements work and which ones don’t, by seeing what the research says. This is a talk that I gave in January 2016 for La Grange Cycling Club and Helen’s Cycles at TriFit in Santa Monica, CA.

Part two includes a closer look at proven ergogenic aids including caffeine, carbohydrate, and beetroot juice.
And part three looks at creatine, bicarbonate, sodium phosphate, citrulline malate, and beta-alanine. I also provide some resources for finding high-quality supplements.
