INTERMITTENT FASTING

Fasting: a missing piece of your health practice?

The act of fasting has been practiced for thousands of years, and is a part of nearly every major religion. Over the past thirty years, advancements in research have slowly uncovered the reasons why so many health benefits have been attributed to fasting.

Fasting has also been in the headlines quite a bit over the past few years, and is suggested to help with:

  • Weight Loss
  • Blood sugar control
  • Cognition
  • Reducing inflammation
  • Preventing cancer
  • Longevity

Are these claims true? Well, it depends on the individual as well as the type of fasting that is practiced!

I have spent countless hours digging through the scientific research on this topic, and published a review article a few years ago. Since then I’ve used a variety of different fasting methods with clients (and on myself) and have seen some very impressive results. Because there are so many nuances and caveats to fasting, I (along with the extremely brilliant Dan Pardi) created a course that walks you through the ins and outs of fasting.

I was doubtful at the beginning but I gave it a try. And I am so glad I did because it works!!! So far I have lost 15 lbs, increased muscle and reduced body fat!!

In this course you’ll learn about the history of fasting practices, how to separate the facts from the myths surrounding fasting, and what the scientific research says about this subject. At the end, we will put the different types of fasting into context to determine which, if any, could be better for you in case you decide you’d like to implement fasts into your health practice.
